Kodak Trade Moment

I try not to day-trade, it mostly turns out to be an exercise in futility. But once in a while, I get tempted into momentary inefficiencies of the market. Surprisingly, this particular moment turned out to be a 'Kodak Trade Moment' - my best trade timing ever! :D

Ford a good Buy?!

Does anybody think Ford (F) a good buy? According to Barron it is:
http://www.reuters.com/article/rbssConsumerGoodsAndRetailNews/idUSN0640820420080406

I have been observing this stock since it was below 6$. Even now its not a bad price 6.49$. One good news and there is a lot of room for a spike.. My optimism is also based on their new models esp. Lincoln models and Ford Edge getting positive response.

I believe there is at least 50% annualized increase potential if management seems to meet its expectation of returning to profitibality by 2009.

KHD Humboldt Wedag International Limited - KHD

KHD is an industrial plant engineering and equipment supply company. It has Operations/Clients all over the globe. Order intake for 6 months through June 2007 came from Russia 31%, Middle East 21%, Asia 26%, Americas 13%, Middle East 21% and Europe 7%.

It has good earnings visibility. Order backlog is growing faster than revenues. Current order backlog as of Feb 2008 is approx $1 billion USD.

They also have significant, steady royalty income from Wabush Iron Ore Mine. In 2007, this account to approx $16 million or $0.50 per share. With Iron Ore prices increasing 65% this year, the royalty should increase too.

It is undervalued
- At current price of $27 with $1.74 estimated EPS for 2007, and $2.22 for 2008, it has 2007 P/E of 15.5 and 2008 P/E of 12.2.

Here's a detailed recommendation for KHD from ValueInvestorClub

I'm looking for a 3-6 month target of $33 (20% returns), although it's a good hold for long term.

A stock to watch. Not necessarily a buy at this point.

Manitowoc - MTW

This crane building company based in a small town of Manitowoc, Wisconsin is benefiting from global infrastructure boom. Their order book is strong for 2008 and guidances have been revised upwards, both by the company and the analysts. The stock gives a good entry point around $41 after recent indiscriminate beating. My price target: $65 in 6-9 months. Forbes thinks it's a hottie.

AAPL - Apple Inc.

Apple drops 7.63% on Friday Jan 4th '08 and another 0.01% after hours.

Reading about apple's likely products for 2008, the upcoming Mac World event tied with earnings announcement and a possible fed rate cut, I think aapl is a buy under $170.

Note that aapl stock had approx 20% corrections in Aug and Nov 2007. Its around 10% with correction in Jan 2008. Hoping for another $15 dip. I believe price is going to @ $225 by March '08. Any thoughts?
